Client Engagements: Global Sourcing and Design, Inc.
Global Sourcing and Design is an Apparel manufacturer headquartered in Pompano Beach FL. DTS has exclusively managed all I.T. systems and the expansion of company operations worldwide to 15 locations and 175 end users since 1998. The network is a Juniper VPN solution for all remote locations and help desk support is provided by the DTS call center and Engineer Services Group.
In addition to long term I.T. service and management DTS has completed the following strategic objectives:
- Relocated the company’s N.Y. office and managed the construction of new data center in 2006.
- Built main company warehouse system in Gulfport Mississippi in 2002 consisting of wireless scan, pack and ship systems.
- Relocated company headquarters I.T. equipment in 2001 to Pompano F.L.
- Responded to Hurricane Katrina emergency for the company’s main U.S. warehouse facility in Gulfport Mississippi in 2005. The warehouse was a total loss. DTS engineers duplicated the system setup in a temp warehouse in Conway S.C within two weeks for import shipping to resume. All systems were moved back to Mississippi once a new building was reconstructed. DTS also provided logistical and documentation support for claims to insurance carriers to cover the damaged I.T. systems.
- Traveled abroad to all remote factory locations for warehouse scan, pack and ship installations. (South America and Asia)
